Today Hadley, my parents and I decided to do some exploring. My favorite thing to do! We first headed downtown to the Farmers Market. I always love seeing the farmers, hearing live music and tasting all the fresh food! We then headed out to Gruene. Gruene is a beautiful hill country town! We had lunch at the Gristmill right by the side of the river. We saw where people go floating down the river and we roamed the streets. Of course there was live music in the bars and dance halls. I felt like I was really in the South. We then drove to New Braunfels, Landa Park. It is definitely a must see! It is a huge park with lakes and rivers, fishing, a giant pool, a rope swing, tons of open space and lots of BBQ's. People in texas do parks right! I loved it all!

hey! I just went to Gruene a few weekends ago... I was in San Antonio, and we spent a whole day in Gruene. We ate at Gristmill too- wasn't it sooo good?! Yum! I loved it- it looks like you had fun! (isn't that random... that I was just in Gruene too? lol)

ReplyDeleteI went there a few years ago and loved it! Such good food and the best sangria ever. My cousin was married in Austin 4 years ago and we all went on a family vacation and the day after the wedding we all floated down the river and ended at the Grist Mill for dinner!
