Dr. Prince bids Farewell to Austin

We have some very exciting news to share! Ben is going to be a Doctor!! After years of hard work, dedication, persistence, patience, worry, and adventure, Ben received a phone call at work informing him he had been accepted into Midwestern University's Medical Program! We couldn't be more thrilled. We immediately got on our phones to call our families.

However, along with such great news, this also meant our time in Austin needed to come to an end for now. We found out on June 18th that he had been accepted and school was to start July 31st. We had a lot to do! We both needed to keep working and I especially needed the hours in order to keep my benefits. We both worked, worked and worked some more.
Thankfully before we left my parents came to town! We were so happy my Mom stayed to help us pack. She was amazing. She did so much for us. We honestly couldn't have done it without her. Thanks Mom! We also got to see Curtis The Cat! I missed him soooo much!
We took them to 6th st. and were able to experience Pete's Piano Bar. WOW!!! Everyone needs to go and sing-a-long!

During the final weeks we needed to make time to spend time with at least some of the people who made Austin for us! We love our friends we made during that wonderful year and hope to stay in touch forever. You will never find nicer people than those in Austin! We also spent some time saying goodbye to our favorite spots and places to eat. The people, the food, the memories, the adventures and more will be a part of us forever. There were so many more people we hoped to see before we left, things to do, places to go and food to eat which means we need to return...

On July 22, we hit the road to go back to Arizona. Even though we have been there before, it will be a whole new adventure awaiting us.

I'll never forget the time I was 8 months pregnant, moving, 100 degree weather, working a full-time job, and having a husband start medical school.
